We had such a blessed Christmas season, with many beautiful memories made. There were so many photos and stories to choose from, I decided to make "Top 10 memories of Scarlett's first Christmas".
10. Creating our first photo Christmas card. It has been something I've looked forward to for several years.
9. Baby holiday clothes. We had so many seasonal outfits, we did outfit changes each day just to use them all!
8. Watching her open her gifts. She would've been perfectly content with wrapping paper this year!
7. Cincinnati Christmas. We always have such a great time, and hate for it to be over!
6. Meeting Santa. We waited in line for 45 minutes at Strongsville Mall. She was an angel the whole time.
5. Hanging up her stocking that Grandma made. We didn't have enough holders, so we just put her on with mine. (Grandma said this was appropriate, as she is always hanging out with me!)
4. Giving handmade ornaments as gifts. I wish we had photos of Auntie Steph and I making these with Scarlett, but we had our hands full! The grandparents all got a white ornament with Scarlett's handprint on it.
3. Family Christmases. We are so blessed to be able to spend time with our many family members!
2. Gigglefest! On Christmas Eve we got some great belly laughs out of her. All it took was for me to dramatically kiss her little hand. (Grandma was especially excited, as all she asked for this year was to hear her laugh.)
1. Watching her sleep on her Daddy. This happened a few times over the holidays, and it was absolutely precious each time. The best, by far, was at church on Christmas Eve. It was a powerful moment for our little family.
Our greatest blessing has been this healthy, adorable child that God has entrusted us with. We fall short every day, yet He continues to love us. We look forward to teaching Scarlett about Jesus, so she can fully appreciate the meaning of Christmas.
