Thankful

Gary and I have so many responsibilities as parents.... we need to take care of Scarlett's basic needs,  along with her physical, social, and intellectual development.  But even more importantly, we are responsible for teaching her about Jesus.

I often pray for God to use me as His hands and feet with Scarlett- for Him to guide me in helping  build her relationship with Him.  

I found a prayer in a book that I think is especially important during the holiday season.  "Dear Father, please give my child a heart of gratitude.  Help her to always be thankful for what you have done for her and never take your goodness for granted." Its a prayer that we could all benefit from.
