Land Lab Open House

It was a gorgeous day for a nature hike at Land Lab's Open House.  We always enjoy visiting Mr. Maretka, the classroom, and exploring the trails with the Bio students.  Scarlett came prepared this year, with her vest, boots, and magnifying glass.  She even asked Mr. Maretka to take out a snake so she could hold it.  (Where did she come from?!)  All was well, until the snake bit her.  A moment that we will not soon forget....Mr. Maretka included.

"Joy, are you sure she's your daughter?" asked Mr. Maretka, Mommy's high school bio teacher.
